Iftar at Carlton Downtown
Ana Olmeda visited the Iftar at Carlton Downtown Hotel. Read her review here:
The recently renamed Carlton Downtown Hotel, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Iftar and Sohour with your friends and family, in a four stars hotel environment.
They hold the iftar at the beautiful Baÿty restaurant, located in the 3rd floor and tastefully decorated in Arabic style that set the mood for this special time.
I had the opportunity to try their Iftar recently and it was a great experience. The atmosphere was really warm and festive, and everybody was really happy and having a nice time with their loved ones.
Throughout the big space you can enjoy food from live cooking stations in a buffet style display. You can try Middle Eastern, Asian and European delicacies, like shawarma, different kinds of hummus, chicken cordon bleu, pasta, roasted potatoes, salads, mixed grill and a whole lamb with rice! which will keep you trying again and again.
I really enjoyed to see how the chefs prepare the dishes in front of me, and I had the opportunity to try Arabic dishes and drinks that were totally new for me.
The desserts section was amazingly beautiful. It was featuring Arabic sweets, dates, fruits and international well known delicacies like tiramisu or rice pudding.
I really recommend to try this Iftar to experience the true spirit of Ramadan for a truly unforgettable evening.
